1st Halloweenie!

Our 1st Halloween with Griffin was perfect! The neighborhood was PACKED full with kids all dressed up! Griffin loved sitting on the front lawn while watching all the kiddos pass by! The neighbors gathered on our front porch, we combined all of our candy, and we handed it out together. We <3 our neighbors!

Griffin is 7 Months Old!

Ok...Month 6 FLEW by! I can't believe how much different Griffin is this month! He is eating me out of house & home. We have started to feed him more and more table food. So he'll get the usual bottle and pureed food...but he also gets cheese, turkey, little bites of homemade waffles, carrots, peas...he loves it all :-) We were shocked to find out that he only weighed 21.7 pounds! We thought, for sure, he would weigh AT LEAST 23 pounds. He was also 28.5 inches long :-) Our little basketball player! Also, we have FOUR teeth! It felt like it took forever for the top 2 teeth to break thru...but they are here! This month we went to some pumpkin patches, visited our friends in North Ga, and took a trip down to Gainesville to visit The Latsko's!! We are loving the fact that a bunch of our friends have little babies too! Griffin LOVES to be around kids. Hopefully by next month...we will have a crawler!! He has officially transitioned from sitting to tummy in one quick movement...so we'll see!!

Griffin is 6 Months Old!

So the day is finally here! Griffin is 6 months old...or as I'm thinking, a 1/2 of a year old ALREADY! Now I know why people have so many babies ;-) So this month has been a lot of sitting up and rejecting food...weird, I know! He really is a great eater...for the most part! But lately, I've tried to feed him some different foods (mostly veggies) and he looks at me with this, "Really, Mom?" type of look. So we just have to trick him into eating the things he isn't a huge fan of (kindof what I do to his Daddy's food). ;-) Griff is also doing a WHOLE bunch of sitting up. It started out where he would sit and practically be bent in half, but slowly he's building up those core muscles and he's been able to catch himself from falling forwards and backwards. It's really awesome to watch him discover things on his own! We look forward to what this month brings!! Possibly more teeth?? Learning to sit up from a laying down position?? Who knows!!!

Griffin Andrew is 5 Month's Old!

All I keep thinking about this month is "Oh my Gosh! Griffin is almost 6 Month's Old!" How is it possible? I have no clue. This little boy, let me tell you, he is just such a little character. He makes fun sounds, laughs, smiles every time you look at him, makes funny faces. He is literally the joy to our days! This month we have hit some MAJOR milestones...like, umm...TWO TEETH!!! And do you want to know how I found out he had his first tooth?? B/c he bit my nose :-) The 2nd one came two weeks later. We've spent all month rolling around on the floor. He loves to roll from back to tummy...but is a little more stubborn about rolling from tummy to back. Which is what he's been doing for a couple of months now!! Grr...Boys!! He's been great about using his hands to pick things up. Of course, he's given himself a few bruisers b/c he automatically slams the toys up to his mouth to teethe on them and ends up hitting himself. Poor guy. Learning to sit has been fun for all. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa B. we have the puzzle piece tiles and a big comforter to break the fall of the toppling little boy when he gets too tired to sit up :-) All in all, the 5th month has been my favorite! We've spent so much time with family and friends. This move has definitely proven to be a great one! (Even though we still miss you San Diego!!)

Oops! Almost forgot the Rolling Over Video!!

Ok, so this video is HORRIBLE quality b/c it was dark in the living room and also, I had to start taping from a different view b/c once Griffin sees the camera he'll stop doing whatever it was that you were trying to get on tape!! Anyway, this happened a week or so before he turned 5 months old...and FINALLY he rolls from his tummy to his back :-)
